Abstract:
This research aims to build an intervention proposal applicable to the 9th grade of
Elementary School based on stories told by the people transposed to the theater.
The actions designed to achieve this goal were: to build the theoretical framework of
Discursive Semiotics, with emphasis on the Route Generative Sense; select among
the popular tales already raised, the base corpus for the retextualization in theater
script as a way of proposing a new enunciation; draw up a proposal for THEATER
WORKSHOP: FROM POPULAR TALES TO REPRESENTATION applicable to the
9th grade of Middle School. The methodology adopted was the bibliographical,
qualitative and applied research. The research universe consisted of 06 (six) tales
read among the tales already raised and recorded, extracted from the book “Conto
Popular e Comunidade Narrativa” by Francisco Assis de Sousa Lima (1985), and
collected in the region of Cariri, in the state of Ceará. Among the stories read, we
selected as corpus for the rewriting in Script as a proposal of representation in
theater, the tale “As viagens de São Pedro à terra” enunciated by Dália Nunes de
Brito. As a technical product, the research generated the workshop proposed by the
third specific objective. As a result of this investigation, we point out: the prose form
of the tale as a record of orality that was changed to script; the tale As viagens de
São Pedro à terra presents three subjects, figuratively portrayed by the actors: God,
St. Peter and the people, whose geographical narrative space is between heaven
and earth, in an uncertain time that bears the verbal linguistic marks indicating
present and past. The narrative tension we highlighted was: obedience versus
disobedience.
