Resumen:
The sons of arid and semiarid regions naturally contam soluble salts and/or
exchangeable sodium, that can slgnificantly reduce development and crops
productivity, however, the greatest problema of salinization and/or sodification are
represented by previously productive sons, which due to inadequate irrigation
management become saline, being necessary to treat them for that these recover
their productivity. Thereby, various methods can be employees in the recovery of
these sons, being the introduction of tolerant cultivars, such as cotton colored, one of
the most effective ways of minimizing this problem, in addition, of use chemical
enhancers, but due to the high cost of these, as well as their availability, the use of
gypsum and organic material has excelled. Thus, the aim of this work was to
evaluate the cultivation of cotton of fiber colored BRS Topaz. when grown in soir with
different exchangeable sodium percentages (PST) and caule manure in greenhouse
of CCTA/UFCG. We used the completely randomized block design in factorial 5 x 4,
with 3 repetitions. Were tested ave leveis of PST and four levei of caule manure
were evaluated the growth variables: plant height (AP), stem diameter (DC) at 55 and
75 DAS and leaf área (AF) at 75 DASI - Fresh phytomass and dry of the shoot, the
134 DASI and production variables: number of bolas per plant (NCC)l Feather weight
and seeds per planta Fiber percentage and reliability index. The cotton colored BRS
topaz is tolerant to sodium exchangeable and can be grown in soil with PST up to
30% and the use of caule manure was efficient in cotton cultivation BRS Topaz in
sodic sons.
