Abstract:
Entrepreneurship has been consolidated as one of the pillars for the country's development through the generation of income and jobs for the population. In the present context there is a new aspect of entrepreneurship, known as social entrepreneurship, whose main focus is the social mission. Considering the impact of social nature activities and the growing transformations that this kind of activity has suffered in recent years, this study aimed to analyze what circumstances that lead to the creation of a social enterprise, noting the opportunities and entrepreneurial characteristics. Methodologically the research is characterized as qualitative, descriptive and conducted in the form of case study and document research. The instrument used for data collection was the semistructured interview and the data provided by this instrument were treated by content analysis. The findings found contribute to understanding the process of creating opportunities for a social entrepreneur. the opportunities perceived by the social enterprise have been identified; the characteristics of these; the attributes of the social entrepreneur and the creation of context, as suggested by the addressed categories of analysis.
