Résumé:
The aim of this study was to evaluate the growth of Tanzania grass due to the nitrogen
fertilization. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse during the montês of February,
March, April and May 2016, hem on the premires of the Centre for Science and Technology
Agrifood, the Federal University of Catnpina Grande, Catnpus Pombal - PB. The treatments
consisted of tive nitrogen rates (0, 40, 80, 120 and 160 kg N / ha), corresponding to 0.0;
0.096; 0.192; 0.288 and 0.384 g of nitrogen / pot, divided unto two nitrogen applications,
arranged in a completely randomized design with tour replications. Nitrogen fertilization did
not cause signiüicant influente (P> 0.05) with the nitrogen fertilization. The dosage of 40kg /
C showed more efFlcient than other N dosage, for steln elongation rate and the number of
senescent leaves. No differences in dry matter production of plants between doses, the most
feasible dose of 40kg / N, for not having shown difference in the dose of 160kg / N. The
efTect of nitrogen fertilization was analyzed separately, it is observed that the LAR, nitrogen
fertilization protnoted effect with the maximuin responso at a dose of 120 kg N / ha and
production of 0. 1 8 pagos per day. The values ranged õoin 0.44 to 0.54 mm / green leaves per
tiller, on treatment with 80kg / N and 160 kg / N, respectively.
