Resumo:
The proper management of harvest cane sugar is a key condition for obtaining a high
quality raw material. This study aimed to evaluate the agro-industrial properties of
cane sugar in various forms of harvest and the residence tomes on the field after
burning or cutting. The experiment was carried out on the farm belonging to the Holy
Spirit Company John Plant, in Paraíba Forest Zone. The treatments consisted of
three ways to harvest and eleven (11) cutting times, there were three ways of
collection: cane sugar raw (FC-l)l sugar cane burned and cut (FC-2)l and cane
sugar burnt and cut only at the time of transmission (CF-3). Cutting times were as
follows: (0, 12, 24, 36, 48, 60. 72, 84, 96, 108 and 120 hours). The samples were
analyzed at Cana Payment Laboratory for content Sucrose (LPCTS) of the Company
Urina São João The characteristic were analyzed result in the following: soluble
solids - ' Brix (%), sucrose content - Pol (%), industrial fiber. (%) Purity (%) and
Totais- Reducing Sugars (ART kg / t). The best performance was seen in CF-l , with
superiority in features, ' Brix (%) and Pol (%), while purity (%) and ATR had less
behavior characteristic PB (%). The best time between harvesting and processing of
ways of CF-l and CF-2 harvests period is 36 hours.
