Currently, the Brazilian school has been the subject of much discussion regarding teaching. We found that the students' learning index has been dropping significantly, mainly in the initial grades, especially in the literacy process. In view of these findings, we decided to do the school supervision internship, in a 1st grade class, in a 1st grade municipal school in an attempt to minimize the problems detected during the internship. Visiting the school and through informal conversations with teachers, as well as questionnaires applied to students in the grade in state, we found difficulties in the field of reading and writing. In this way, our willingness would be to work with the students and the teacher, the difficulties, facing the process of reading and writing, being able to better follow the daily practice of the students of the 1st grade, questioning together with the teacher a way of working with the students and learning reading and writing. In view of the problem under study, we propose to do a work, with the 1st grade aiming to capture the level of difficulty of the students, directly or indirectly to alleviate the deficiencies presented in this area of teaching, in the hope of being able to contribute to improve the question of the domain of reading and writing.
