Abstract:
The Caatinga covers 54% of the Northeast and is a vegetation complex which brings together
very diílérent environments, different faces and diverse flora. The some Caatinga bíome with
its socio-economia importante is the least protected âom the Brazilian biomes, their
degradation by human action ultimately compromises increasingly natural resources and the
sustainability of tais biome. In this pense, the study aims to diagnose which human Eactors
inteúere with more intenso dynamics in vegetation structure in remaining Caatinga, thus
allowing to propose mitigation measures to minimize the disturbance leveis in the áreas. To
sample adult component, were installed 30 sampling units of 20 m x 20 m in a systematic
way, where were all the individuais with CAP Z 6.0 cm. Within each sample unit were
surveyed 1627 individuais in the adult woody component, they are over 16 species and lO
plant families. The diversity index for adult individuais was 1.18 nats.individual-l . The área
is at an early stage of succession evidenced by the higher occurrence of species succession of
features and has low species richness, even ater more than three decades without
exploitation.
