Abstract:
The Brazilian semiarid region is characterized as irregular rainfall region, and thus the
greatest challenge of rancher in the region to produce Food for the herd, can this
technique be minimized by storage and preservation of food in the form of hay or
silage. The olãective of this research was to evaluate the chemical composition and the
drying curve for hay production Tifton 85(Cynodonspp) in Paraiba backcountry
conditions. For determination of the drying curve was used to
0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,23,25,27 time and 3 1 hours of exposure to the sun with two replicates
of TiRon 85 (Cynodon spp.). The collected material was deposited on canvas the sun to
dry, on 1 8 and 19 Jure 2015. The average values for temperature and exposure time to
the sun were 32 ' C and 1 0 hours on the Hjrst day and 31 ' C and 7 hours in the second
day, respectively. The conditions under which the survey was conducted the Tifton 85
graus (Cynodon spp.) Needs 31 hours of exposure to achieve the ideal point of hay,
which is 14 hours of such exposure was indoors, observing the average value of 95.3 %
MS.
