Resumo:
Solidarity Economy can be understood as a civil society movement and, more
that this, as a response to the structural changes that are being
processed from the productive restructuring. Thus, the Solidarity Economy can
be considered an alternative to generate income and work. The present research
has the purpose of making some reflections about the Reference Centers of
Social Assistance (CRAS), as a tool used to strengthen the economy
and encouraging the solidary economy. The work has as objectives to point out the
challenges faced in combating social vulnerabilities, indicate which contributions the
Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS) brings to the trajectory of improvements in
social conditions of the community and explain the importance of CRAS for the
development of social policies in Brazil. The relevance of the study is evident
when, as a Social Worker at CRAS "Edite de Sousa Barros", Institution
researched, one can observe the relationship between the dynamics of that social program and
Solidarity economy. The methodology used was of the exploratory-descriptive type with
quantitative approach, through field research technique, using
instrumental in the form of a questionnaire. As a sample, 10% of the 250
families registered and served at the Unit. The search results were
satisfactory, with the female audience looking for CRAS more than the
male, aged between 20 and 60 and with a low level of education, despite the majority
of users to be formed by students from EJA. Most users are married and
he survives on only a minimum wage, which expresses their weaknesses.
