Abstract:
This study has as main objective to improve a method of synthesis of rational functions for the modeling of transmission lines, resulting in an accurate and efficient computational routine for use in the calculation of electromagnetic transients. For that, an algorithm that uses the Levenberg-Marquardt non-linear adjustment method will be used. Such a routine should result in stable functions with complex poles and zeros, whose application involves the calculation of transmission line parameters and elements of frequency-dependent transformation matrices. The results obtained will be compared with those presented by the base algorithm so that the changes proposed in this work can be validated.
