We elected the formation of teacher-mediator in literary reading as the study object for this research. The question that went into the work was: Can the reading of string leaflets contribute to the formation of teacher-readers? The general objective was to investigate the contribution of string literature to the formation of teachers of initial series of elementary school. The instruments used to collect the data were questionnaires, audio recordings, records in journals of research and photographic records. We developed a continuing education course in literature for the teachers of the initial series of elementary school. It worked with a methodology based on training meetings that had as focus the reading and the discussion of different literary texts with predominance of leaflets of string. We are based on theoretical and methodological reflections of Bordini and Aguiar (1988), especially when proposing a methodology to approach the literary text centered on the reader. We also seek in Iser (1999) and Jauss (1979). A deepening with regard to the reception of the literary text. Tardif (2014) supported us in the understanding of the training process from the knowledge of the teachers and enhance them. As part of the teaching of string literature we supported the reflections and suggestions of Marine and Pine (2012). As a result, we pointed the discovery and rediscovery of literature in a more playful perspective on the part of the collaborators. From this experience, we highlighted the reflections of the workshops of literary reading in the daily practice of the participants. It was understood that the process of formation when it is given in a continuous way, launching an interactive methodology in the experience of the literary texts and the value of the teachers ' know-how and reflection on the practice the reality of the teaching can be modified.
