Resumen:
The Elementary school in public education has been suffering, over the years, a set of adversities that interfere with student achievement. The lack of time, school planning and new teaching strategies by teachers and managers implies a low quality of education. Based on this fact, we ask about the feasibility of working didactic strategies in science teaching, being one of these strategies, focused on the use of cordel literature as a possible facilitator in the teaching-learning process, by actively inserting the student in the approach to a scientific content. In view of this, we sought to extract information by students and teachers from the André Vidal de Negreiros State School of Elementary School, located in the city of Cuité-PB, in order to analyze the perspective of these participants on the subject and investigate whether Didactic practice in the educational process, specifically in the area of science, can be viable, since schools have flaws, whether in their teaching philosophy, administration or even in their overall infrastructure. The research was conducted in two stages, namely: Application of specific semi-structured questionnaires, with questionnaire 1 aimed at teachers and questionnaire 2 designed and applied with students. After the application of the questionnaires, the generated data were analyzed based on the Bardin thematic content analysis. Among the results discussed, it was observed that there are few teachers who work with the perspective of an innovative didactic proposal, as well as the dissatisfaction on the part of the students, who demand a greater demand of didactic materials and practical classes in the field. teaching.
