Résumé:
Healing is a sequence of cellular and tissue responses that interact to restore tissue integrity. It
consists of a dynamic process that involves biochemical and physiological phenomena.
Studies have been developed, demonstrating the treatment of wounds with a phytotherapic
basis as a primary alternative that enhances tissue healing. The individual and synergistic
effect of propolis and cashew was observed in the healing of skin wounds induced in wistar
rats. The research was developed at the Experimental Research Center – NUPE of Faculdades
Integradas de Patos – FIP in partnership with the Federal University of Campina Grande,
campus Pombal – PB. Eighteen wistar rats were used, from the vivarium of the Nucleus,
being randomly distributed in six groups, with 03 animals. After anesthesia of the animal, a
skin lesion in the dorsal region was performed. After the execution of the wounds, the
treatment started immediately, using the extracts of propolis and cashew (Anacardium
Occidentale L.), individually and synergistically, according to the experimental design. The
wounds were treated daily, once a day, until the complete healing of the lesion. The individual
use of the aqueous extract of cashew (Anacardium Occidentale) and associated in the
concentration of 75% cashew and 25% of the aqueous extract of red propolis in clean
cutaneous wounds induced in wistar rats, were effective in anticipating the complete healing
process.
