Abstract:
The present work of course completion aims to analyze the challenges to realize the
fundamental rights to human life, provided for in the Statute of the Child and
Adolescent (ECA), with the subjects in an institutional reception situation, at the
Center for Child Care and to the Adolescent (CCA) of Cajazeiras - PB. A sociohistorical
analysis of childhood in Brazil and the social, juridical and political
achievements of the ECA, the aim is to understand how the children and adolescents
in the institution have been accommodated, as well as the work with the families,
considering the relevance of ensure the right to family and community coexistence
with the subjects in question. Articulated by the qualitative, bibliographical,
documentary and field approach, the research was carried out with four of the CCA
professionals, through a semi-structured interview, organized by questions related to
our research object, in which the lines were transcribed and analyzed . The research
is anchored by the dialectical critical historical method that allows us to unveil the
universe of possibilities and alternatives for reflection, in order to extract the various
daily challenges faced by professionals to guarantee the right to family and
community coexistence. We have identified through the interviewees' reports that the
CCA of Cajazeiras, the locus of our research, has encountered numerous barriers to
the reconstruction of family ties, due to the complex dynamics of family relations in
contemporary society.
