The drinking water scarcity is a reality in many regions of the world and, in many cases, due to the predatory use of water resources and the intensification of character polluter. The study was developed in the western part of the city center of Pombal-PB. For the analyzes we used 03 hand-dug wells, where the criteria established for the selection of these wells was the issue of accessibility, because those responsible have not received any restriction to the development of research. The three (03) wells analyzed for physico-chemical characterization of groundwater preliminary shores west of the city center of Pombal-PB are the type Amazons. The flow of this type of well is not considered high due to its shallowness. In the pit 01 was found to provision of the organic and inorganic residues from the same slab, contributing to the proliferation of vectors aesthetic problems, as well as unpleasant odors. In environmental terms, the solid waste can cause pollution of surface and groundwater due to seepage of leachate, which is a liquid color black highly pollutant, formed from organic matter degradation uncontrolled. We conclude that, in general, the waters of the dug wells, and showed similar results consistent with studies in the area of the basin Piancó, cities in the northeastern hinterland and sub-basin of the upper course of the River Paraíba, if fitting in. parameters of the maximum allowable according to Ordinance No. 2,914 of MS 12/12/2011.
