Política nacional de resíduos sólidos: análise à luz do plano de gestão integrada de resíduos sólidos do município de Pombal-PB.

Abstract

The absence of environmental education for the solid waste management has encouraged the people to launch their waste in inadequately environment giving rise to what is called open air dumps. With this, the Government endorsed the national solid waste Policy (NSWP), 12.3052010 Bill, in order to solve the problems arising from poor solid waste management. Thus, this study aimed to analyze the employability of NSWP directing the study for the integrated management of solid waste in the municipality of Pombal - PB, which, like other cities, has a period of up to four years after the publication of the Act referred to above to create and implement your plan integrated management of municipal solid waste. Initially, there was a 12.3052010 law analysis that gave basis for the questions of the interview held with the managers of the administrative sector of the municipality of Pombal - PB. With the obtained results it might be noted that the municipality of Pombal - PB search deploy its integrated management plan of solid waste within the period determined by law, but still does not have a plan of action to carry out the activities necessary for this plan to be deployed.
