Résumé:
This thesis aims to analyze the representations of voting through voters: their motivations and meanings. The research scenario is the city of Campina Grande - PB and has the voter key to understand the electoral processes. We take as one of the elements of study the participation of the candidates in the elections that aim to win the adhesion and vote of the voter. We draw the political history of Brazil and how the processes that guaranteed the vote for all citizens were given. It was necessary to discuss the issue of democracy and electoral disputes. It is at this core that the vote is representation, it is the choice of the representatives. We intend with this research to analyze the representations that the voters construct about the vote. There are several reasons for choosing a candidate and we believe that the proposal contributes to the study of motivations about voting and electoral behavior from the perspective of Political Anthropology.
