Résumé:
In Brazil, there are approximately 7500 water treatment units that launch, generally, their residues directly in riverbeds may cause impacts the environment and risks human health. Furthermore, in the treatment process occurs a water high consumption during washing of filters and decanters, featuring thus a high degree of waste water, that could be used for other purposes or even after simple treatment be reused in own treatment plant. Given this, it came to motivation for carrying this study aims to submit a proposal to assist the optimizing the use water washing of filters the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) the city of Pombal – PB, through the technique of reuse. The ETA of said city has capacity to treat up 310.000l/h (0,086 m3/s), is the conventional type or complete cycle consisting of the stages of coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection. The methodology proposed for the development of research began with the characterization of the study area, was then planned a campaign to collect samples of water from disposal of cleaning the filters in nine intervals time, during an unloading operation. Were analyzed Physicochemical and bacteriological parameters of the filters water discard. The results obtained for eleven parameters were satisfactory, that is, are in accordance with resolution 357/2005 and 430/2011 of the National Environmental Council, however, the results obtained for total and fecal coliforms indicated a special attention.
