Two questionnaires with questions related to the handling of these products, knowledge of rules of segregation and the main existing waste in health facilities, were subsequently applied to a sample of hospital employees in the study were drawn. In the results, the management procedures were presented to the previous step to the external transport. The external transport to final disposal were not evaluated in this study. It was concluded that the handling and treatment of such waste should be treated more cautiously to avoid possible contamination.
