Resumo:
The workanalyzed the associationism and environmental practices developed in the
settlements São João 11, project financed by National Program of Credt Agrarian
Land Credit, and Jacu, implemented by INCRA, both located in the municipality of
Pombal (PB). The research was based on data collected from questionnaires,to all
families settled.The questionnaire covered personal infomlation of the settlers,
general data of the associative dynamics of settlement and settlement, besides
observations of the lives daily rate of those seated and their relatives. The results
indicate the importance of associative practices as an alternative to sustainable
development.
