Resumen:
Access to clean water has a fundamental impact on socioeconomic development and the evaluation of its quality is an essential factor to ensure sustainable use and present security as its potability. To this end, the aim of this study was to investigate the quality of the mineral water sold in 06 cities of Paraiba through physical-chemical and microbiological analysis. 33 samples were analyzed. Some important parameters that influence the quality of water for human consumption were evaluated and compared with the limits allowed by law. The physico-chemical analysis were all within the limit allowed by legislação.Quanto labeling the current information from the physical and chemical characteristics based on the mining report where the measure in years exceeds the expectations of consumers should be adjusted to the analytical result obtained on source with maximum earlier date than two months before bottling and should contain the microbiological data. With this change we believe would best and reliable information to consumers and would bring a positive inspection effect on the production line, giving it a more alerta. As mood microbiological analyzes showed among other things that, in relation to the count of mesophilic bacteria found, 87.88% of the samples showed presence of such microorganism. This count detected in a food, the number of aerobic and / or facultative bacteria, and mesophilic (35 - 37 ° C), both present in the spore as vegetative medium. Some of these bacteria can act as opportunistic pathogens, spoilage of water quality and influence the inhibiting action of some microorganisms; since when present in high numbers, may prevent the detection of coliforms. The bottled water are mineral or table or mineralized will have in the coming years an even more growing consumption, because with the water crisis we face today or disaster during these reserves become strategic and this situational framework of its importance should be targeted constant environmental monitoring to safeguard the integrity of the sources and quality of life.
