Resumen:
The work aims to describe the influence of the media on the behavior of the child consumer in public schools in the city of Sousa - PB. The children's audience receives several appeals that influence their consumption behavior, these appeals are made through communication tools, which use various devices such as advertisements on television, internet with characters, brands, music, images, colors, facilitated language , these factors, which encourage children to ask their parents for these products, these industries continuously seek new techniques and means to persuade the child consumer to acquire such product offered. The main argument is to show the influence caused by the media ends up interfering in the acts, attitudes and the construction of the world view of the children. The research concerns the following problem: how does the media influence the behavior of the child consumer in municipal public schools in the city of Sousa - PB? The methodological approach used was the bibliographic review method with several authors guiding the theme, seeking to bring theoretical elements that contribute to professional enrichment. Also with data obtained with descriptive research as delimitation the instrument chosen for data collection the form, which were analyzed exploratory form of quantitative approach of the descriptive type. The interest in the proposed subject is to guide the influence of the media in the behavior of the child consumer, in order to identify the positive and negative influences that the media can exert, as well as to characterize the implications of these behaviors in the child. The theme addressed in this work was extremely important both personally and for the professionals involved in this work to map and delineate this influence to suggest new positions in the media and guide schools, students and educators to use advertising as a catalyst for development goals psychological and educational development of children.
