Abstract:
The subject of this study is Supervisory Action in the 10th Teaching Region of Paraíba. This region is located in the city of Sousa - Paraíba. It is intended here to analyze the educational practice of this professional activity in the socio-political and economic context of Brazilian society in Paraíba. Our interest in the supervisory function in that region of teaching originated from studies and discussions held in the classroom. This aroused in us the desire to seek more substantial information about the practice of Supervision and about the difficulties that the supervisors encounter in the development of their work, as we know that this practice occurs in an educational system that presents several difficulties. However, in the current moment of transformation that Brazilian society and education is going through, the school community in general, and Educational Supervision in particular, seeks, in the movement of its action and reflection, to review its pedagogical practice, shifting the axis of its individual action for the collective, the social and the global, when dealing with the issue of teaching-learning so that it can effectively contribute to a transformative educational work. We understand that reflecting on the above question becomes relevant as we seek to understand the educational practice of these professionals, their conception of a public school as an instance of society, as a significant space in the struggle for a public, free and quality school , at the same time, we will have educational experience of a theoretical and practical nature as trainee qualifications in School Supervision.
