Resumo:
The theme of this work is "The practice of Supervision at the Headquarters of a Municipal Education Secretariat. This is a study of the educational practice of that professional category in the educational, local and socio-economic-political context of Brazilian society. known that supervision has been the object of criticism, has suffered from the powers constituted the most severe penalties and has, in the course of an existence, built its history. Therefore this historical reference of Supervision and education is addressed within this study and consequently included to this approach a little about the instituted society, because it is known that it decisively influences the educational process. In the society in which we live, under a capitalist regime, education is an instrument to serve the interests of those who hold power and emanate decisions, little concerned with the education of the popular class. So in the midst of the contradictions of the educational reality Brazilian study, we consider the study of the aforementioned question to be of great relevance, as it provides us with contact with the educational action of Educational Supervision at the level of the Municipal Secretariat, providing us with a theoretical reflection on the reality of this practice, with a view to implementing a new theory aimed at developing an action committed to social transformation.
