Resumo:
With the population increase, there is a need to search for new alternatives that ensure the water supply. Thus, new technologies arise for this purpose. Through the business perspective, the adoption of new technologies related to water is necessary and it can bring several benefits such as reduction in costs, risks and waste. As well as generating income and improvement in the relationship with consumers. This study aims at presenting intervention measures able to provide a better use of water in a commercial establishment in Pombal City, Paraíba State, Brazil, through economic design, easy installation and simple operation. Furthermore, it does not require qualified labor. This research proposes the reuse of greywaters of a cheese factory for non-potable purposes, in order to minimize the problems of water scarcity, generating profit and competitiveness, through simple and low cost measures. As methodological procedures, the author used questionnaires, field visits and preparation of a reuse proposal. The results indicate a decrease in costs and optimization in the production of cheeses. With the proposal implementation, the system can reach a value of reduction of 80% in water bills.
