Uma análise sobre a efetiva aplicabilidade da Lei de execução penal na Colônia Penal Agrícola do Sertão em Sousa - PB.

Abstract

The present paper aims to do a study about the penitentiary system, showing its historical evolution until these days. It brings the beginning and the grounds of sentences throughout historical evolution, explaining the diversity of penal institutions at the global, national, regional and local levels, seeking to identify the differences between the followed models. In the next moment, the Law of Criminal Execution and its goals will be reported, explaining how it is applied in Brazil and specifically in the Countryside Agricultural penal Colony in Sousa - PB (CAPC), tracing a study about the existence or non-existence of struggle in applying it. In a third moment, it will be explained how the CACS emerged, what its purposes are and how it is managed to apply in the Criminal Executive Law. For the performance of the present paper, it will be used the deductive empirical method, cause this is a study based on the collection of general information and based on the experience lived in the participation of extension project acting in this prison institution, as the approach of the issue will be exploratory and descriptive methods, and in a relation to the technical procedures, it will be used the bibliographic and documentary research of a basic nature.
