Résumé:
This study aimed to identify the formation of coopetition networks in the hospitality sector, also
verify the guest profile and the strategies to differentiation. When tourism destinations create
networks for events, circuits, or tourism routes can be analyzed under the perspective of
coopetition and thus produce insights that contribute to understanding and management of
tourism products. It is a Case Study; thus, an exploratory-descriptive study and uses a
qualitative approach. In this way, it is an appropriate method for the problem that allows
empirical research cases of contemporary studies in their real context. A case study was carried
out on the Areia City, one of the partner's municipalities of Caminhos do Frio tourism route in
the state of Paraíba, Brazil. The results identified that the behavior of the hospitality sector in
Areia City is based on coopetition and presented the key factors highlighted in the literature,
such as participants visualize a common goal objective; setting shared goals; interdependence
among participants; complementarity among organizations; a coordination hub based on
governance and co-entrepreneurship; common culture and shared values.
