Resumo:
Through the crisis that Brazil is experiencing in recent years, it is extremely
important to highlight the contribution entrepreneurship has made to the country, even if
it is mostly for the survival of the individual and not for business opportunities. Thus, it
is from the creation and development of several ventures that the entrepreneur develops
different entrepreneurial characteristics, being able to provide accomplishments,
planning and business power. Therefore, the present study has the purpose of presenting
and describing the development of the entrepreneurial behavioral characteristics of
individuals who own micro and small enterprises in the city of Olivedos - PB. In the
research, a quantitative and descriptive approach was adopted, data were collected
through questionnaires, answered by 28 entrepreneurs and tabulated with the help of
Microsoft Excel software. At the end of the research, it was observed that the vast
majority of the respondents are female, are 31 to 40 years of age, are natural of
Olivedos, have completed high school as a degree and are married. Regarding the
entrepreneurial skills that were the most prominent in the research, quality, efficiency,
persistence, commitment, independence and self-confidence were required. And finally,
the less important competencies were the search for opportunity and initiative, to take
calculated risks, and persuasion and network of contacts.
