Résumé:
In the last years, the innovation has been a prominent and highly cited subject in the corporate
world. The universities that operate with innovative projects and potential commercialization
through applied research are an asset for the country's economic and social development. The
institutions rely on the help of the Innovation Centers in the process of protecting the
technologies developed and their insertion into the market. In view of that, this paper aims to
analyze the reality of the UFCG aiming to propose a technology transfer management through
the licensing with the intention of inserting the technologies patented by the Nucleus of
Innovation and Technology Transfer of the Federal University of Campina Grande in the
market .The methodology is characterized as a qualitative case study, using a descriptive
approach, based on the survey of the technologies and the number of patent applications
generated by the area of the institution, being still considered as applied research. As a result,
it was possible to identify a growth in the number of intellectual property registrations in the
institution, but the innovation nucleus does not carry out technology transfer.
