Abstract:
According to data from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM Brazil, 2018), Brazil has enormous entrepreneurial potential, as in a group of 11 countries, Brazil is the second most entrepreneurial and no group of 49 countries, or Brazil is located at tenth. It is also known that in five adult Brazilians, two are entrepreneurs. In this scenario, this study sought to describe how actions taken at the Federal University of Campina Grande, within the Humanities Center's Management Course, monitor the development of entrepreneurial education, with emphasis on entrepreneurship and social innovation. As Filion and Laferté (2003) argue, entrepreneurship is the basis of wealth creation in a society and its main resource is human potential. Within this human potential, an innovation is a tool that, according to Drucker (1986, p. 25), is a specific tool for the entrepreneur. This paper describes a descriptive research, supported by a case study. A survey was based on information provided by the Coordination of the Administration course and respect to the actions taken and then questionnaires that were heard to the students who completed the course. The results are shown as existing actions, but students consider that they know little
and reveal, when they do, find it inaccessible, leaving open the need to disseminate as practices aimed at entrepreneurial education for the entire student body.
