Resumen:
In a world of increasingly competitive companies, organizations are constantly looking for ways to gain competitive advantage within the supply chain. As a way to improve its organizational methods, supplier selection represents a strategic decision with a high impact on the organization's performance, capable of adding value to the chain, as well as gaining competitiveness. Thus, effective selection of suppliers is of utmost importance as it directly interferes with the production and quality of goods / services offered by the organization. This problem is made up of several criteria and is therefore treated as a multicriteria decision problem, in which the purchasing organization is responsible for determining which criteria will be taken into account when choosing the supplier and can be solved using different methods. In this context, this study presents a multicriteria decision support model, which uses PROMETHEE II to select suppliers. Subsequently, the model was applied to a Clothing Industry located in the Agreste de Pernambuco, where the criteria that best fit the Company's needs were selected, together with one of the managers, who is responsible for the purchase decision process and thus, The alternatives were judged from the chosen tool, so that, finally, the results were ranked, obtaining a supplier that best meets the requirements of the organization. The proposed mathematical model has a structured methodology for both weight and ranking, which uses a very simple and practical software, which facilitates decision making.
