"Os Quarenta": tradição e identidade de uma comunidade negra na cidade de Triunfo - PB da década de 1950 aos dias atuais.

Abstract

This monograph and the result of the study on the community of "Forty" from Triunfo (PB). I studied how this group formed by Afro-descendants became socially inserted in the backcountry city of Triunfo from of the 1950s, and I traced an analysis on the construction, creations and reinterpretations of his identity over six decades. To reaching the final result of this study, I conducted interviews with members of the quilombola community of the Forties and the transcribed data were submitted content analysis, serving as an instrument for the realization of this job. I also analyzed local historical discourses that deal with the already crystallized history of Triunfo. I studied about the insertion of the aforementioned community in the city, analyzing the Festa do Menino Deus, patron saint of city, the main religious manifestation of the municipality that served as an instrument of insurgency of these Afro-descendant migrants in Triunfo.
