Abstract:
The present work aims to study Environmental Education in the formation of
teachers, having as main objective the analysis of Environmental Education in the course
degree in Geography from CFP / UFCG. Considering the different perceptions of
students and teachers on issues related to Environmental Education. Analyze yourself
this proposal in the course, so that the trainees (future teachers)
have the necessary knowledge to insert this theme in their
teaching. The methodology covered bibliographic research, through a literature
specialized within the research topic. It was analyzed whether Environmental Education is
being proposed, verifying the documents (PPC). It is a research of
qualitative approach, with quantifiable data from the interpretative analysis of the
themselves, collected through questionnaires. These with semi-structured questions,
carried out with teachers and students concluding the geography course. To the
analysis and interpretation of questionnaire data, was based especially on Bittar
(2007), using Bardin's content analysis methodology (1977). The
results identified that Environmental Education is a specific discipline in the grid
curriculum. It is articulated so that the graduates develop theoretical-methodological activities
related to thematic. However, there was also a certain
fragility with regard to theoretical and practical subsidies that favor training
of teachers to work with Environmental Education at school, assuming the relationship
theory / practice and its critical transfater earater. Research shows that the main
challenge for the consolidation of this proposal is related to the need to review the
approaching environmental issues at the top level, mainly in the formation of
teachers, as graduates are unprepared to deal with issues
in the light of the objectives and principles of Environmental Education.
