Resumo:
To present researches i f proposes to do a discussion about the contributions of the field works
as teaching methodology regarding the school geographical education. That activity provides
approach between the studied object and the individual, in other words, it constitutes an
important element for the process teaching-learning. The field is, therefore a great teaching
atmosphere, because it makes possible a larger understanding and connection of the subjects
worked in class room with a complex reality, it promotes larger to socialize of groups and
dinamiza the teacher's work. Besides emphasize-millstones the contributions of the field work
through a theoretical discussion, we aimed at to develop the research about the main
difficulties faced by the teacher of Geography of E.E.I.F Antonio Amancio of Cruz, located in
the municipal district of Dawn - CE in relation to the accomplishment of the same. Soon after
we propose the accomplishment of a field work, with the students of the 8th year of the
referred school. The information were collected through applied interviews to the Nucleus
Manager and the other teachers of the school, where occurred a survey to diagnose that
facilitated the choice of the group to go to field, besides a questionnaire he/she given to the
teacher of Geography of the group, and another given to the students in the return of the field
work. We verified then that in spite of the difficulties for the accomplishment of this activity,
they favor plenty the teaching-learning process, starting from the connection between theory
and practice.
