Resumo:
This monographic character of literature has as its theme the teaching of geography in
the early years of basic education, which seeks to review the art of reading, researching
and understanding the geographical space in order to deepen the question of the
fundamental concepts in teaching geography. So, follow your quest objective, which
focuses on a rescue in the most comprehensive work on the geographical concepts the
idea of place, landscape, region, space, territory and society, so that they make an
approach towards reality in the environment to be studied. Thus, the study focuses on
the main theme focused on relevant discussions related to the teaching of geography in
the early years of elementary school, and has the topics: the teaching of geography at
the present time: historical aspects and structural concepts and their teaching;
contributions National Curriculum Parameters - PCN's in teaching geography, with the
constaiction of geographical concepts, and the teaching of geography from the planning
and pedagogical practice in primary education, with focus on the importance of working
knowledge about the geographic space as well as some suggestions and procedures in
teaching geography to characterize the environment to be studied, taking into account
the geographical concepts in the municipality of Mato Grosso - PB Therefore, we
sought theoretical support authors as to the thematic geographical concepts, among
which, Cavalcanti (1998), Vlach (1990), son Diniz (2009), Straforini (2004), National
Curriculum geography - NCP's in Brazil (1998 and 2001), Vessentini (1995), Moraes
(1999), Tuan (1983), Correa (1995), Santos (1998), Alves (2005), Callai (1991), Souza
(1995), Vasconcelos (2002), Kaercher (2003) among others that address the topic.
