Resumo:
Verbal language is one o f the most important forms for human communication. It is through it
own that human being expresses thoughts and interacts with others. The use o f language to
assist the material needs often goes through a metaphorized dimension and in this sense the
ideas begin being expressed through metaphorical constructions, because this use, along
humanevolution, has become an effective way to social life. The theoretical rationale was
based on the theory o f Lakoff and Johnson on everyday metaphors and howthe metaphorical
use of the ideas has as reference some aspects related to the human body, for example, that is
why most metaphors have the reference o f human perceptions, such as direction, dimension,
among others. One o f the motivations for the metaphorical use to become into physical
attitudes, like violence, is described along this work and reflects a behavior that has become
common in many social settings, such as school, which gives us the study object: violence in
the classroom from metaphorized constructions from texts produced by students o f the 3rd
year o f high school on the topic. We also emphasize that violence at school almost always
begins by linguistic constructions that lead to aggression, bullyng.
