Resumen:
The practices of agriculture requires the use of management techniques, but mostly are used
by inappropriate farming techniques farmers, favoring the installation of erosion, causing
serious environmental problems and the consequent degradation of farmland. The lack of
information about the misuse of land sees contributing to degrade it and to destroy them. In
this sense the present work aims to conduct a study on the problems of inadequate agricultural
practices like deforestation followed by burning, use of pesticides on crops, the use of the
irrigation system and super grazing and environmental impacts of improper management soil
at the site Maria Soares, municipality of Conceicao - PB, Alto Sertao region of Parafba,
Northeast Brazil . This type of management see causing the destruction of natural habitats
including flora, fauna, destruction and degradation, decline in agricultural production, thus
causing a decrease in community income, exacerbating social and economic conditions of
local residents. For a better understanding of the degradation and destruction of the
environment was necessary to characterize the environment ( physical and biological)
environment, raising a history about the use and occupation of the study area, identify the
types of cultures grown on-site technical management used for the realization of cultivation
and finally analyze the main environmental problems related to agricultural practices
developed on site with the current situation of environmental degradation. The procedures of
the study focused on the use of quantitative and qualitative data provided in interviews and
forms in which involved a literature survey and mapping, field research, data collection and
analysis and interpretation of the same method. The final results showed an increase in the
degradation and destruction of the area in recent decades due to inadequate soil management,
with an increase in deforestation and forest fires, replacing the forest areas by crop fields.
