Abstract:
The study aimed to analyze gender relations in the city of Cajazeiras by Flor de Liz
Magazine, a periodical published between the years 1926 and 1937 and organized by
the women of the city's Catholic action. Among the periodicals chosen xerografados 15
copies. The magazine Fleur de Liz was a regular local circulation, compared to the
regular high-profile female paraibana. The content published in Flor de Liz brings
discussions of education, labor and women's rights, and religious themes, as the
magazine was organized by Catholic women, but several issues were also part of the
magazine. Themes as modernity and the moral and behavioral changes were recurrent in
Flor de Liz having a woman as the main character. Thus, the present study found that
the magazine despite being organized by the Catholic Action cajazeirense women not
