Resumen:
In the current context, technology is increasingly present in the lives of individuals, in
different instances that make up life was society. This reality is also experienced
in elementary schools. Thinking about this issue, this work makes a discussion
about Information and Communication Technologies, pointing out the possibilities of organization
teaching geography from them. In this sense, the aim is to
of their contributions to the development of geography teaching processes.
Starting from this objective, we defined as a methodological approach a set of
bibliographic searches that guided us in the bibliographic review on the use of
educational technologies, for the development of constructive methodologies in the teaching of
Geography. The methodology is structured based on the following sequence: 1 - Discussion of the
contexts and characteristics that guide the development of ICT and its immersion
in the current social context; 2 - Reflection on the relationships between ICT and educational processes,
especially with regard to the organization of geography teaching methodologies; and 3
- Presentation of a proposal for teaching geography using these technologies. Starting
these discussions, and the importance of continuing education in preparing educators is pointed out,
with a view to building teaching skills for working with these
technologies.
