Abstract:
Currently has long been spoken in soil degradation, pollution and water contamination,
erroneous forms of waste disposal, among other examples that have a direct connection
with environmental issues. But very little even i f nothing has done so that effective
practices for building awareness are listed mainly in the educational context. Proposals
for environmental education that are part of the pedagogical project of some schools
have failed systems , as shown to be inefficient and discontinuous, not promoting a
change in attitudes in the man - the environment . By the lack of awareness of the
population and the lack of participation of schools in this process, this paper presents an
innovative proposal for Environmental Education Joao Alexandre Oliveira School,
located in the farming community of the settlement in the municipality of Juazeiro
Marizopolis. The intent of this pedagogical practice was to go beyond the school gates
involving the participation of parents and the community where the school is located, in
order to create space for learning to occur through reflection - action. The
methodological procedure adopted consisted of literature and documents which aimed
to discover the conditions of implementation of the proposal for Environmental
Education conference, in which the actors involved, were responsible for the decisions
taken. Permeating Environmental Education, from the perspective presented in the
work, it should be noted that to use practical and reflective teaching resources is
necessary to consider its advantages and disadvantages, looking for considering these
possibilities in relation to working group situation, this time sowing a seed of
environmental awareness that she is above all transforming into a period that it should
be regarded as essential to a praxis of changes.
