From the perspective of contemporary sociology, this study aims to present a social-scientific analysis women's life who engaged in related activities drug trafficking in Brazil. It is known that drug trafficking is a major cause of prisons orders in the country. Being drug trafficking an activity that traditionally involves men, draws attention the fact, recent studies reveal that in recent years women's imprisonment has increased in greater proportions than the male imprisonment. According to the Ministry of Justice, the population of Imprisoned women in Brazilian prisons increased from 5,601 to 37,380 between 2000 and 2014 - an increase of 567%. The rate is more than four times greater than the overall growth of prisoners in the country, which is 119%. The data are from the report INFOPEN Women, released by the National Penitentiary Department (DEPEN). These data indicate that there is a considerable increase in the involvement of women with drug trafficking. This fact is a new phenomenon that undoubtedly arouses us series of questions. The locus for the collection of empirical data from our research was the Regional Women's Penitentiary of Campina Grande. Our research is qualitative and follow the analytical clues of authors like Pierre Boudieu, Max Weber, Norbert Elias, Elaine Pimentel, Maria Moura, Vanusa Silva and other authors. They have studied modern society from the perspective of the conflict. Analyzing the data collected in order to identify the beliefs, values, feelings and motivations that lead these women to insert in drug trafficking.
