Resumo:
The present capstone is about the creation of a Pedagogic Guide named Cinema and
Society and its intention is to show teachers of sociology class during High School the
possibilities of using the art of cinema as a pedagogic resource. The Cinema and
Society Pedagogic Guide is based on the knowledge of Michael Young about the
concept of Powerful Knowledge; also, is based on the considerations of Karl Mannheim
about the theory of sociology knowledge and on the conclusions of Florestan
Fernandes about the importance of the sociology at Brazilian High School. The
methodology used on this capstone is exploratory research resulting in a creation of a
pedagogic material. Regarding the execution, it was used biographic research on
books, scientific articles, magazines and websites. The books of PNLD 2018-2020
were analyzed regarding the content and cinematography to build the structural
creation for the Cinema and Society Pedagogic Guide. After all these analyses it was
decided what content would be part of the guide itself. Thus, the Cinema and Society
Pedagogic Guide is compound of 21 modules and its content are the analyses of
movies and its sociologic reflections, exhibition of cinematographic schools and the
technical and methodological aspects of cinematography. As a conclusion, we don’t
intent to make the Cinema and Society Pedagogic Guide the only exclusive way to use
the art of the cinema at Sociology courses, actually, the purpose is to bring up more
reflation and more possibilities for the pedagogic teaching method.
