Reading and writing are fundamental activities to achieve an efficient pedagogical practice, a necessary process of transmission, expression and fixation of a culture, as well as technical and scientific knowledge of the school. This is because reading and writing represent one of the most important means of acquiring knowledge and one of the basic instruments for the entire educational system, often, reading does not have a daily space in people's lives, the school needs to teach the student how to read, write and express themselves orally in all situations in which the student is, thus being essential for the transmission of citizenship. Reading practices must be present in everyday life at school and in students' lives, written language is the main learning tool among those that students need to appropriate in order to learn how to read the world and all the knowledge it produces and is produces. The interest in this theme arose from the importance that these practices have in the student's life and because we believe that we will have more conscious and questioning people. The school must train readers and text producers more often, through varied activities in the school space. Thus, given the need for reading as an essential practice for the life of the student and its real purpose for the exercise of the teaching-learning process, we feel motivated to work on this topic, providing discussions for a better improvement of activities aimed at the realization of this process in classroom.
