Operando ativos com base em análise técnica: aplicação do método da agulhada.

Abstract

The interest in investing in the variable income market is increasingly spreading around the world. Thus, technical stock analysis has become a frequent topic among finance scholars, especially as it demonstrates that it is possible to buy and sell assets with a high degree of accuracy. Based on this, this work has as general objective to demonstrate how to carry out operations in the market based on the operational setup of the Didi needle. The elapsed time of the operations had an emphasis on the swing trade, which is a short-term buying and selling strategy that requires precision in the inputs and outputs. With asset data collected on tradingview.com website, three moving averages were applied to the candlestick daily chart as part of the needle setup. The assets chosen to carry out the operations were: Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSNA3); Metalúrgica Gerdau S.A (GOAU4); Usiminas (USIM5). The behavior of the assets corresponded to expectations with respect to the applied method, that is, they obtained positive results regarding the profit per operation. Thus, it is possible to affirm that Odir Aguiar, creator of the setup called as a needle, and other authors who cite the method in studies, are correct in affirming that the strategy is indeed effective for operations in swing trade.
