Atendimento pré-hospitalar: conhecimento e preparo do enfermeiro da estratégia saúde da família.

Abstract

Pre-hospital care (PHC) is defined as the set of measures that are adopted at the first level! of attention to people with health problems, of different natures. Considering the Family Health Strategy (FHS) as a fixed PHC modality, it is necessary to consider the relevance of the technical-scientific preparation of nurses who work on the problem. Thus, the present study aimed to raise information about the level of knowledge and preparation of the FHS nurse in Prehospital Care. This is a descriptive exploratory study, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, developed with eight nurses who work in the FHS of the municipality of São Joao do Rio do Peixe, located in the state of Paraíba. The data collected in the month of June 2010 through a semi-structured interview script were analyzed quantitatively in a descriptive way and presented in graphs and tables and, qualitatively through the technique of the Collective Subject Discourse (DSC) by Lefevre and Lefevre. It is worth mentioning that the study followed all the assumptions of Resolution 196/98, which provides for research involving human beings. The main results allowed us to verify that in relation to the socio-demographic profile of nurses, 82.5% are female, 100% are aged between 28 and 35 years old, 75% took a post-graduate course in the strictest sense. different areas of nursing and, 100% has more than two years of professional experience in the ESF. In addition, it was observed that nurses emphasized the lack of discussion that involves the problem in the curriculum of the nursing course, which consequently contributed negatively to the limitation of technical preparation from this professional! As well as to an unsatisfactory knowledge about the PHC. Thus, there is a need for a reform in the curriculum of nursing courses in order to meet the expectations that emerge for the qualified training of the undergraduate student. Still, it is expected that local health managers, as well as nurses themselves, rethink the quality of care provided to clients and invest in permanent health education as a political strategy to improve this assistance.
