Abstract:
Assessment is a process that wants the participation of both teaching staff and students, not a practice unrelated to pedagogical practice. The school in general encounters difficulties caused by the inversion in the evaluation function, that is, the evaluation should be an accompaniment of the educational process, it ends up becoming the objective of this process. The central problem of evaluation, therefore, is its use as an instrument of qualification, discrimination and social selection, as it assumes within the school, the task of separating the “inept”, the “capable” from the “incapable”. Another reason that attracted us to this theme was the fact that the teaching-learning process is a collective act based on interaction, where teacher, student and other school subjects must feel part of it. To outline our proposal to study the evaluation, we had as objectives, to analyze the evaluation process developed by the teachers of E.E.E.I.E.F. Dr. Thoomaz Pires; identify the evaluation procedures used by teachers; we observed the difficulties presented by the teacher about the evaluation process.
