Résumé:
The nurse professional formation is constituted in an elementary factor for a good
performance in the j ob market. This should happen with base in the new Guidelines and Bases
Law of the National Education (LDB) and in the Curricular National Guidelines for the
Course of Nursing (DCENF) in the intention o f preparing critical and reflexive professionals
to act and to transform the social reality. In this context, it has been aimed to know the
opinion of the Nursing concluders concerning their professional formation, to identify the
main problems lived by them in the academic course, to verify as these they sit down while
professional futures in relation to the competences and acquired abilities during the formation.
The study is characterized as an exploratory field research with qualitative approach. The
sample was composed by 21 concluders of the Nursing course, that accepted to participate in
the research accomplished in October and November, signing the Term o f Free and Clarified
Consent. The instrument for the data collection was a guide of semi-structured interview,
which consisted from 8 referring questions on the social-demographic data and 3 was
referring on the theme. The data were analyzed starting from the Collective Subject's Speech
adopted by Lefreve; Lefreve (2005). The results evidenced that most of the concluders is
between 25 and 29 years-old, they are of the feminine gender, of diversified naturalness,
single, Catholic, 24% possess some profession/ occupation while 76% just study and all
entered through vestibular exam in the period 2005.2. Regarding the formation received in the
University, this is seen by the concluders as insufficient due to the found difficulties,
considering it is a course in implantation phase. Regarding the main found difficulties, they
point the lack of physical and human structure; most of them feel prepared to act in the health
service in spite of all the faced difficulties. It is concluded that it is necessary to adopt
measures in the sense of providing a better structuring o f the courses of health area for better
assist the involved in that process, seeking to offer an answer the real needs of the
population's health and the demands of the job market, preparing the concluders in an
appropriate way for their professional exercise.
