Resumen:
This article aims to analyze the main factors that hinder the economic and financial viability of startups incubated at the ITCG (Campina Grande Technological Incubator) and Avati. To do this, we first sought to characterize the startups and identify their main hindering factors. Descriptive research was performed with a quantitative approach. A questionnaire, based on the models of Carvalho, Ribeiro and Cunha (2015) and Figueira et al. (2017), was sent - digitally - to the entrepreneurs of the startups who, in addition to characterizing their businesses, answered the level of agreement they had on 16 factors pointed out in the literature that possibly hinder the viability of their startups. The obtained data were treated by statistical analysis by frequency. Thus, the results showed the validation of 9 main factors, one related to entrepreneurs capacities and eight to external variables. The factor linked to bureaucracy stood out as an almost unanimous difficulty factor among the startups surveyed (93.3%). This study therefore outlined what tends to affect the viability of startups linked to incubators.
