UBS Cajazeiras; investigate the applicability o f the standards advocated by the PNI in UBS.
This is a study of normative evaluation, exploratory descriptive quantitative approach. We
visited 10 rooms vaccination operation for the period o f data collection, ie, in the course o f
two weeks during the month o f March 2013. Data were analyzed by observing the following
variables: condition refrigerator, internal organization o f the refrigerator, cooler and control of
the cold chain. It can be observed that although 90% o f the refrigerator being in ideal state o f
preservation and operation, some did not provide the third shelf or non perforated trays for the
immunobiological acondicionarem, thus impeding the organization and the lot number and
expiration products , the lack of monitoring and the lack of a maximum and minimum
thermometer in coolers in 100% o f the rooms, i t was also observed that 40% o f the rooms are
not properly vaccination daily monitoring o f refrigerator temperature, only 50% performed
the Defrost and clean the refrigerator when ice thickness reaches the recommended limit, and
there is no preventive maintenance program and / oucorretiva for cooler rooms in any o f the
vaccine. Thus, we can conclude that the rooms vaccine municipality under study are not
complying with the requirements proposed by PNI for cold chain, thus endangering the
preservation and proper storage o f biological available.
