Résumé:
The thematic reading and textual production have been motivating discussion and reflection by several authors and teachers in an attempt to overcome the difficulties inherent in the process of reading and textual production. In the current context, it is necessary for teachers to seek ways that enable students to read and write comprehensively as a way to make them critical readers. This reality is also perceived by the teachers of the Umbelina Cavalcante Sobral Municipal School of Child and Elementary Education. In a meeting, the teachers reported that the difficulties of reading and textual production at school occurred due to the children's lack of access, that is, good books and didactic resources, and the social and economic issue in which these students are inserted. Thus, it is of fundamental importance to work on this theme in school in order to provide discussions on the process of reading and textual production. This proposal, far from being a paradigm in education, proposes to offer contributions to new reading practices, providing significant reflections for the realization of other studies focused on this theme.
